Top 5 Countries to Visit in 2023

4.4.2023

If you've been thinking about taking a holiday but haven't made it yet, 2023 is the year to do so. Big events, hotel openings and new air routes will make it easier than ever to explore the world again.

2023 is also a water year in Chinese astrology, which means movement and travel. It’s a good time to take advantage of the many countries that have finally opened their borders after pandemic closures.

New Zealand

New Zealand offers a unique blend of nature, adventure, culture and wine. Known for its spectacular fjords, glaciers, mountains, pristine beaches and active geothermal regions, there is something for everyone in New Zealand.

Discover a stunning coastline and rolling hills in the North Island or indulge your adrenaline rush in the South. Embark on a cruise of the Bay of Islands, enjoy Maori culture in Rotorua or immerse yourself in Queenstown’s skiing adventures.

One of the most famous sights in New Zealand is Hot Water Beach, a deserted beach on the east coast of the Coromandel Peninsula where you can dig your own natural hot spa bath. Within two hours of low tide, the sand bubbles with hot water, perfect for a relaxing dip or a refreshing massage.

Jordan

Jordan is home to some of the world’s most famous attractions and a whole range of historical sites, including the UNESCO-listed city of Petra. It also boasts a wealth of historical castles, desert landscapes, and sweeping seascapes.

The country is famous for its black iris - a national flower that’s pretty rare. It’s also one of the most peaceful countries in the Middle East.

If you’re looking for a trip that offers history, culture, and adventure, look no further than Jordan. There’s so much to see, including UNESCO-listed sights like Petra and Jerash. There’s also plenty of religious sites to explore. And, of course, there’s the Dead Sea – a must-visit destination for its salty waters and rich mud.

France

France is one of the world’s most visited countries, with its iconic landmarks and beautiful landscapes. Its capital city Paris is a vibrant cultural center full of art, architecture, and fabulous restaurants.

It also boasts an extensive transportation system – buses, subways, and commuter rails – that serve more than four million people each day. Travel between major cities is safe and efficient by train.

Some of the most famous landmarks in France include La Tour Eiffel, the Louvre Museum, and the Notre-Dame Cathedral. If you’re looking for a cultural highlight in 2023, be sure to visit Paris!

Poland

Poland is a country that offers visitors an incredible mix of medieval architecture, ancient towns, and stunning landscapes. Its historical cities are rich in culture and charm, as well as a great range of “off the beaten path” attractions for travellers looking to get away from it all.

Its countryside is beautiful, with an array of national parks, preservation areas, mountains and forests. A trip to the countryside gives travellers a chance to experience small-scale organic farms and traditional villages, learn about the area’s history and culture, and get an authentic sense of the country.

The most popular attractions in Poland are Krakow and Warsaw, where UNESCO World Heritage sites include the former capital of the dynasty and its main market square Rynek Glowny (Main Market Square). The city also boasts Auschwitz-Birkenau, a memorial to the mass murder of Jews by the Nazis during World War II.

Chile

Chile is one of the world’s most breathtaking countries, encompassing a wide range of landscapes from towering peaks to vast deserts. On a cruise to Chile, you’ll explore enchanting ports that offer glimpses into the country’s rich culture and history, while sampling its famous wines.

The capital city of Santiago is home to numerous attractions, from museums and galleries to great shopping, dining, and hotel options. You can also explore historic neighborhoods and landmarks that have shaped the country’s culture.

If you’re looking for a truly unique experience, head to Torres del Paine National Park, which features mountains, glaciers, and countless other natural wonders. Or, trek to Cerro Castillo, a mountain 100km south of Coyhaique that promises jagged peaks and hanging glaciers. You’ll even find a gorgeous turquoise glacier lake.
