Nohejbal Tournament VOL 4
| Žluté lázně | VergangeneBeschreibung
It's time again for the Nohejbal tournament. Which is essentially an excuse to get drunk. It's nothing serious so no need to be afraid. Some of the participants still do not understand the rules (and it's Volume 4).
Brought to you by Baskervilles Old British Bar and Honza Petr.
DON'T FORGET TO INVITE ALL YOUR MATES!
- We're playing Triples (TEAMS OF 3)
- Entry is 150kc per person
- Prize money for winning team
WHEN?
See poll below to help decide. Friday 1st May is a bank holiday.
(Meet at 11am on the day.)
RULES:
Basically, there are teams of 3, who have to boot the ball over a net. Beyond that, i'll let wikipedia take over:
TRIPLES: three players, three touches (but not two consecutive touches by the same player), one bounce allowed, a set finishes with 11th point with a two-point difference, maximum score is 15:14. To win a match, the team has to win 2 sets. The players may not touch the net during open play, otherwise it is a point for the opponent.
FYI:
Nohejbal is a traditional Czechoslovak sport. Originally invented by Slavia Prague football team in 1920s and now used in variations in football training all over the world. Czechs, Slovaks and a handful of other countries regard the sport to be a standalone one (there is a league and even a World Cup - usually won by the Czechs).
In English the sport is called Football Tennis or sometimes Futnet and in German it is Fussballtennis.
The game is widely popular on the Czech country side as it can be played at any age (and with a beer in hand).
