Czech Republic – New Zealand Ambassadors XV rugby duel
| RC Tatra Smíchov | UplynuláPopis
Dear Friends,
Please allow me to hereby invite you to the international friendly rugby match between the Czech Republic and New Zealand Ambassadors XV, which will take place on 13 June 2015 at 2:00 p.m.at the stadium of RC Tatra Smíchov on Smrčinská ulice in Prague 5.
The New Zealand Ambassadors XV are a collection of New Zealand players who play for European rugby clubs. A full range of inter-nationally known rugby players have appeared in the Ambassadors’ black uniforms with the fern insignia, which are of the same classic design
as the All Blacks’ kit. The Ambassadors will thus certainly be one of the best teams to have visited the Czech Republic. In connection with their training, the German national team, among others, regularly faces the Ambassadors on the pitch and now our national team under the leader-ship of Polish coach Tomasz Putra will have the same honour. The Czech team will feature a number of players who play rugby professionally
in high-quality clubs, especially in France and England.
We can thus look forward to an outstanding rugby experience that will kick off with the legendary Haka performed by the New Zealand Ambassadors XV.
The date of this match was not chosen at random, as it coincides with an exhibition of Maori portraits painted by Gottfried Lindauer, an artist of Czech origin, which will be on display in Plzeň as part of the “Plzeň – European City of Culture 2015” project. The match will be held
under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, which is taking part in organising the social aspect of the event.
Please note, however, that only 1,200 tickets to this extraordinary event are available. Advance tickets to this extraordinary event cost CZK 250 for adults and CZK 150 for children, seniors and disabled people (we accept orders by e-mail at [email protected]); it will be possible to purchase remaining available tickets at the venue for CZK 300 for adults and CZK 200 for children, seniors and disabled people.
I believe that despite the tremendous quality of the opponent, our players will admirably face up to the challenge and show the proud New Zealanders that
in the Czech Republic we know how to bring up real rugby players.
