About Snowboarding

Snowboarding is one of the most popular winter sports. To do this sport, you need a snowboard - a board designed for sliding on the snow, tightly fixed to rider's legs. Since 1998, this sport has been a part of the Olympic Games. It can be divided into two main groups and several subcategories. The first one is Snowboard Racing which includes Parallel Slalom, Parallel Giant Slalom, Giant Slalom and Super-G. The second one is Freestyle. Half-pipe (U-Ramp), Quarter-pipe, slopestyle, big air, jibbing (rail riding), freeride, backcountry and snowboard cross fall into this group.
